Positively Partners is proud to be an approved training provider via the Workforce Training Fund Program through the Commonwealth Corporation. The Workforce Training Fund Program helps address business productivity and competitiveness by providing grants to Massachusetts businesses to fund training for current and newly hired employees.
What is the Express Grant?
The Express Program is designed to help businesses respond quickly to change and keep employees engaged. Eligible Massachusetts companies are funded with $15,000 per calendar year, covering up to $300 per instructional hour, with a maximum of $3,000 per person per course. Grant applications must be submitted at least 21 days before the training start date.
How To Determine Eligibility:
The Express Program will adjust award amounts based on businesses’ Massachusetts employee counts at the time of application as follows:
- Businesses with up to 50 Massachusetts employees, receive up to 100% reimbursement.
- Businesses with 51 to 100 Massachusetts employees, receive up to 50% reimbursement.
*Eligible companies must also pay into unemployment insurance.

Step 2: Gather Required Documents for Application and Submit via the Workforce Training Fund Program Page.
Before applying, have these ready:
- Obtain a Certificate of Good Standing from the Department of Revenue. Please note, it must be dated within the last 6 months. Request it here.
- Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN).
- Signed copy of your business’s Form W-9.
- Current number of Massachusetts employees (including part-time and full-time).
- Name of the training you’re applying for, found here.
Once you have your documents, submit your application.
Step 3: Get Approved & Get Reimbursed
- Approval takes 3 weeks from Commonwealth Corporation.
- Once approved, register and pay for the training.
- After completing the training, submit a reimbursement form.
- Expect reimbursement funds 30-45 days later.
