Alissa Farber specializes in using evidence-based strategies to help individuals and teams perform better. With expertise in instructional design, facilitation, training, and strategic planning, she guides people and organizations to ask big questions, develop and execute game plans and achieve sustainable impact. Alissa leads Positively Partners team of Executive Coaches in promoting effective connections between organizational strategy, Board members, leadership and staff.
Alissa served as the CEO of Shift Happens Consulting and Coaching, LLC, where she worked as a strategic consultant and Executive Coach with individuals, social enterprise start ups, and local and national non-profit organizations and universities. She is recognized for her swift ability to get to the heart of complex and high-stakes individual, team, and organizational dilemmas in addition to her creativity and capacity to support clients to generate effective and appropriate solutions. Prior to launching her own firm, Alissa held leadership positions at Teach Plus and Citizen Schools. Alissa holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Wesleyan University and a master’s degree in Human Development and Psychology from Harvard University. She is also certified as an Executive Coach and Energy Leadership Practitioner through the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (IPEC).
Alissa serves as Principal Consultant with Positively Partners. She is active on the boards of several Boston-based organizations including First Teacher and One Summit. Alissa lives in Boston with her husband and two daughters.
